Redeye provides a brief comment on the recent news of US company Bioinventus acquiring Israeli-based CartiHeal for roughly SEK 4,3bn. We argue that the transaction indicates the significant need for better solutions to cartilage lesions in the knee, and that further interest in this orthopaedic field is set to emerge.
